Adding your Axia HTML email signature
Below are the instructions to setup your Axia email signature. If you get stuck contact your IT / computer support person.
MS Outlook 2013 / 2010

- Open MS Outlook
- Go to the MS Outlook menu … File > Options
Click on the “Mail” option on the left hand side
Click on the [Signatures…] button
Click on the [New] button
Type a name of the signature. Use your full name.
Change the “Choose default signature” options for both “New messages:” and “Replies/forwards:” by selecting your name from each drop-down list.
Click [Ok]
Click [Ok]
Close the MS Outlook program (click the red cross in the top right hand corner).
Ensure you can see the hidden files and folders on your PC
Otherwise if not, do this:
Open Windows File Manager. Select Folder Options, then select the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.
Open Windows File Manager and browse to:
C:/Users/{your login account name}/Appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/Signatures/
OR type %appdata% into the “Search Windows” area and then browse to /Microsoft/Signatures/
Find the file “your name”.htm and rename it to backup.htm
Copy the supplied signature file to this location (from Axia head office)
Rename the supplied signature file to “your name”.htm (essentially replacing the first signature file)
Open MS Outlook and create a new email. Your email signature should display at the bottom of the email.
If not, go through and check all of the above steps.
Otherwise:
Open the supplied signature HTML file (from Axia head office) with notepad, copy all the text in the file Ctrl+C, then open the new .htm file that MS Outlook created in C:/Users/{your login account name}/Appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/Signatures/
Ctrl+V to paste and then save the .htm file
Open MS Outlook and create a new email. Your email signature should display at the bottom of the email.
MS Outlook 2003 / 2007
- Run notepad and then open your signature html file.
- Use Ctrl+A to select all the contents of your signature and Ctrl+C to copy it to your clipboard.
- Browse to Tools > Options through the menu.
- Select the Mail Format tab. Ensure that your Mail Format is set to HTML by using the drop-down box.
- Click the Signatures.. button.
- Select New.., followed by Advanced Edit.. use Ctrl+V to paste the contents of your HTML signature.
- Save it.
Windows Live
- Run notepad and then open your signature html file.
- Use Ctrl+A to select all the contents of your signature and Ctrl+C to copy it to your clipboard.
- Select More Options from Options in Windows Live / Hotmail
- Click on Personal e-mail Signature.
- Use the drop-down which by default shows Rich Text and select Edit in HTML.
- Paste your HTML signature in the text field and Save it.
Windows Mail (Outlook Express)
- Copy your signature HTML file anywhere you wish or create a new folder on your c drive, like c:\mail
- From the menu, go to Tools > Options….
- Navigate to the Signatures tab.
- Under Edit Signature, Select File and select the file signature html, and you’re done!
Apple Mail
- Run a text editor and open your signature html file.
- Use Ctrl+A to select all the contents of your signature and Ctrl+C to copy it to your clipboard.
- Go to Mail > Preferences, then click the Signatures tab.
- Click the Add Signature button; a text area will slide open.
- In the text field, use Ctrl+V to paste your signature, and you’re done!
Eudora
- Select Tools > Signatures.. from the menu.
- Right-click anywhere inside the signature window and select New.. from the context menu.
- Enter the name of the new signature.
- Run the following: “%appdata%\Qualcomm\Eudora\Sigs\” (without quotes).
- Open the file having the same name as your signature in notepad and paste the HTML Signature contents.
- Save and you’re done!
Thunderbird
- Copy your signature HTML file anywhere you wish or create a new folder on your c drive, like c:\mail
- From the menu, go to Tools > Account Settings.
- Select the account you wish to add the signature to from the left pane.
- Tick Attach this signature and choose the signature html you just copied to your computer, and press OK.
iPhone / iPad Mail
- Send yourself an email message from your computer or device that already has HTML signatures set up on it. It can be just a blank email with your signature.
- Open the email in the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Press and hold down on the signature in order to bring up the selection tool. Move the anchors so you have the entire signature highlighted.
- Tap on Copy.
- Press the Home button to return to your Home screen.
- Launch the Settings app.
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap on Signature under the Mail section.
- Tap on the account you’d like to add the signature to if you have signatures set up per account.
- Tap in the signature field to bring up the selection tool again.
- Tap Paste in the popup menu.
- Shake your iPhone and tap Undo in order to remove any automatic formatting iOS may have done. This will bring back any colors or other HTML content that may not have shown up in the original paste.
